Draft for owner and counsel review

Privacy policy

Effective date: [to be set when published]. This draft describes how the site actually works today. Have a lawyer review it before relying on it.

Who we are

[PLACEHOLDER] designs websites for small businesses in the Denver, Colorado area. Questions about this policy: hello@example.com.

What you give us

When you request a free preview, you tell us your business name and type, your current website (if any), your goals and the features you want, your budget range and timeline, your name and email, and optionally your phone number, ZIP code and a message. We also store the exact consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and whether you ticked the optional box for marketing email.

How we use it

  • To prepare your preview and contact you by phone or email about it, which is what you consent to when you submit the form.
  • If you ticked the optional box, to send occasional website tips and offers by email. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To understand which of our pages and ads lead to requests, so we can improve them.

Information collected automatically

  • Page and form activity. We record simple events (page viewed, form started, step reached, form sent, button clicked) with a random per-tab session ID kept in your browser's session storage. We do not use advertising cookies or fingerprinting, and we do not store your IP address with these events.
  • Where you came from. If you arrive from an ad or a link with campaign tags (UTM parameters) or an ad click ID (such as gclid, gbraid or wbraid), or from another website, we save that along with the first page you landed on in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. When you send the form, it is included with your request so we know which campaign brought you. It stays in your browser until it expires or you clear your site data.
  • Spam protection. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile runs on Cloudflare's servers and receives technical information about your browser; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Hosting. This site is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests as part of delivering the site.

Who sees your information

Our team uses it to respond to you. We use service providers for hosting, spam protection and email delivery. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

[Retention period to be confirmed by the owner.] Ask us at any time to delete your request and we will.

Your choices

  • Ask us to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@example.com.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message, or by asking us.
  • Clear your browser's site data to remove the campaign tags and session ID stored on your device.

Children

This site is for business owners and is not directed to children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date.
